1. Club Hours, Holidays and Facility
a. See Club Hours
b. AEROFLEX will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Easter Sunday. In addition, AEROFLEX may have shortened hours on other holidays.
c. AEROFLEX reserves the right to close during maintenance or renovation purposes at its sole discretion.
d. AEROFLEX reserves the right to change its facilities from time to time, to eliminate some of its facilities and services, or to add others.
e. AEROFLEX may from time to time reserve the use of its facilities for special events.
f. No food or drink, with the exception of water, which must be kept in a closed container, is allowed in the exercise areas.
2. Membership Card
a. Membership cards must be presented upon entry.
b. If a Member ID card is lost, there is no fee for a replacement card.
c. Memberships are transferable.
3. Personal Property
a. AEROFLEX shall not be liable for the disappearances, loss or theft of, or damage to the personal property of Members and their Guests, in lockers or for loss or damage to any property.
4. Attire
a. Proper exercise attire is required for Members and Guests using AEROFLEX. A shirt must be worn in all workout areas.
b. Street clothes is not be permitted in the Fitness Areas.
c. Proper footwear must be worn at all times.
d. Sandles are recommended in any public shower facilities.
5. Fitness Area
a. Each member receives two personal training sessions with his/her membership. Members are encouraged to arrange an appointment with a trainer before entering the fitness area for the first time.
b. As a courtesy, we request that Members sanitize the equipment after use.
c. As a courtesy, we request that equipment is returned to the proper station upon completion of exercise.
d. AEROFLEX requests a high level of respect to fellow members and staff. Inappropriate behaviour will result in a membership cancellation.
e. Do not tie up multiple machines with multiple sets if others wish to use the same equipment.
f. Please limit your cardiovascular workout to thirty-minutes if others are waiting.
g. Outside trainers are not allowed. All Personal Training and Instruction is to be given by AEROFLEX Personal Trainers.
h. Personal equipment and belongings are not allowed in the fitness areas. (i.e. gym bags, athletic equipment, purses, etc.).
i. Dumbbells are not to be used on cardiovascular equipment.
j. When lifting heavy weights, use a "spotter."
k. Do not drop or throw weights.
l. Use of chalk is not allowed.
6. Group Exercise Classes and Clinics
a. Classes will be given as per the printed schedule and will also be available on AEROFLEX's website.
b. AEROFLEX reserves the right to change the exercise class schedule at any time. This includes the addition or deletion of classes as well as changes in instructors, class times and length of classes.
c. Members are not permitted into the class after the commencement of any class.
d. Please do not enter a studio before the previous class is completed.
e. In respect to fellow members and the instructor, please keep conversation to a minimum.
f. Hand weights are not permitted during cardio sections of classes.
g. Feet must be covered during appropriate classes.
h. Reserving places is not permitted.
i. Cell phone conversations are not permitted in the studios or fitness areas and pagers must be on silent mode.
j. Members may not use stereo equipment or temperature controls.
k. We request that Members do not wear perfume or cologne during group activities.
l. No food or drink, with the exception of water, which must be kept in a closed container, is allowed in the studios.
m. AEROFLEX reserves the right to change studio policies whenever necessary.
7. Locker Rooms and Towel Service
a. Towel service is included in all memberships.
b. Private lockers are available. Day-use lockers are for day use only.
c. AEROFLEX has the right to enter the locker, without notice, to inspect the contents of the locker at any time, for any purpose, including but not limited to, the removal of towels or other AEROFLEX property. AEROFLEX has the right to remove any contents of any day-use locker after the club has closed.
8. Guest Policy
a. All Guests must be accompanied by a member.
b. Guests of members are welcome every Friday for FREE FRIEND FRIDAYS. Guests are $10 per visit on days other than Friday. All guests will receive their first visit free.
c. All Guests must be 18-years of age or older and have proper identification.
d. Guests 16 or 17 years of age may use AEROFLEX only if they have purchased a private training session.
e. All Guests must register with reception upon entering AEROFLEX.
9. Cell Phones
a. Cellular phone use is strictly prohibited in any public area.
10. Cameras
a. Cameras and the taking of photographs are prohibited in all areas of AEROFLEX without prior written consent from AEROFLEX management.
11. Medical Leave of Absence Policy
a. A Medical Leave of Absence may be taken for VALID MEDICAL reasons.
b. A Medical Leave of Absence Form MUST be completed by your physician and be returned to us AT TIME of injury/illness. Forms are available at Service Desk.
c. A Medical Leave of Absence is for a minimum time of one (1) month and a maximum of three (3) months.
d. During a Medical Leave of Absence, monthly billing will continue as scheduled according to the terms of your Membership Agreement. Time owed will be added after your initial term agreement has been met and your account status is current.
e. A Return from Medical Leave of Absence Form must be completed by your physician and submitted to AEROFLEX in order to re-activate your Membership before you are able to use the Club for any reason. Furthermore, we recommend that you purchase a session with a personal trainer before resuming an exercise program so that the Fitness Director can advise accordingly.
f. A Medical Leave of Absence may not be reinstated and is not retroactive.
g. Members who are on a Medical Leave of Absence may not use the Club as a Guest.
12. Type of Membership
a. An individual Membership is a Membership for one person.
13. Billing
a. Monthly dues and house charges are debited from members' accounts through an Electronic Funds Transfer system on a monthly basis and reflect that months dues and the prior months house charges from the 11th of the previous month to the 10th of the present month.
b. We reserve the right to automatically refer accounts that are delinquent for collection.
14. Notices
a. Remember to inform AEROFLEX's front desk of any address changes. Any notice shall be considered delivered when mailed to the address as it appears on your Membership Agreement or as subsequently changed by written notice to AEROFLEX. Any notice must be given in person to reception at AEROFLEX.
b. Members are not permitted to advertise or post notices inside or about AEROFLEX.
15. Termination
a. Any Member who is disrespectful, offensive, loud, uses profanity, is bothersome to other Members/Employees or behaves otherwise in an unbecoming manner or who is cited for infractions of AEROFLEX Bylaws may be suspended or terminated from AEROFLEX.
b. Management reserves the right to change, add, delete or amend any regulation herein.
16. Cancellation
a. AEROFLEX reception handles all Membership Cancellations. AEROFLEX must be notified, in writing, thirty days in advance of the requested Cancellation date, accompanied by your Membership Card and paying all unpaid dues and other charges owed to AEROFLEX.
b. Monthly dues are charged during the thirty-days notice.
17. Terms and Conditions
a. AEROFLEX's Members agree to abide by all Bylaws now in effect or become effective at a future date.
b. There will be NO smoking in AEROFLEX.
c. Members must be eighteen years of age or older and have proper identification.
d. Any abuse of equipment will not be tolerated.
e. Any damage to AEROFLEX's property by the Member, Member's Guest or dependent shall be paid for by the Member.
f. Consumption of alcoholic beverages and smoking are strictly prohibited in and around AEROFLEX. g. AEROFLEX represents that it will not discriminate against any person because of sex, race, age, color, national origin, or ancestry in considering application for membership in AEROFLEX.
h. The Bylaws herein are not inclusive. Signs posted in AEROFLEX will be considered additional Bylaws.
18. Appointment Cancellations
a. A 24-hour notice is required for cancellation of personal training appointments.
